Tea benefits:

  • The most known benefit of tea is its antioxidant quality. It fights free radicals, it’s anti-inflammatory and it protects against cancer, mouth ulcer, and other genetic disorders.
  • It also has pro-cardio properties. It prevents the oxidation of “bad” cholesterol (LDL), lowering the risk of heart diseases. It protects the digestive system by improving the absorption of nutrients, increasing intestinal motility, and balancing the microbes in your gut.
  • It reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes if only taken with low sweetener options.

A regular cup of tea with or without milk can provide these said benefits. Let’s know some benefits of Chai Tea or commonly known as masala tea with ginger and spices like; cardamom, cinnamon, star-anis, black peppercorn, clove, and good quality milk:

1. Helps Improve Digestion

Chai is excellent for regulating digestive systems and keeping your gut healthy. The spice in chai tea is mostly responsible for digestive health benefits. The ginger aids digestion by improving circulation and delivering oxygen to organs so that they can perform better.

The spices present in chai tea helps decrease common aches. It also helps people with more severe pain such as arthritis. These health benefits derive from the anti-inflammatory properties of many of the ingredients in chai tea, specifically ginger and clove.

Whenever you are going to make a chai tea, please remember that if you’re not using good quality milk, all your groundwork will go in vain! That’s right. The base of your chai strongly depends on the milk you are using. So go for the best quality milk like Purabi milk every time you’re making a chai.
